In 2017, with UN Women’s technical and financial support, IDRA conducted the latest study on the right to vote and the general election process, which was based on a national survey of 1300 people aged 18 and over.
The survey was conducted during the period October-November 2017, and extended to the entire territory of Albania. The purpose of this study was to highlight citizens’ opinions on practices that may interfere with the freedom of voting, the assessment of the phenomenon of “family voting” and the identification of the lack of legal, cultural and structural framework behind these experiences.
Some of the key findings include the percentage of men and women voting, freedom of choice and movement, gender module, and so on.
